Maebashi Institute of Technology (Maebit), or Maebashi Koka Daigaku, is located on the south side of the JR Maebashi station, where a number of cultural, educational, and sports institutions and facilities concentrate, including the municipal concert hall, the municipal gymnasium and sports grounds. It is surrounded by such a wonderful environment. In addition, with an easy access to the trans-north-Kanto expressway, this region is considered a hub of high-speed transportation systems.
Maebit can be reached from JR Maebashi station by taking Nagai bus bound for Tamamura machi and get off at Koka Daigaku Mae (10 minutes). To be on the safe side, you can confirm with the bus driver by asking "Kono basu wa Maebashi Koka Daigaku ni ikimasu ka? (Does this bus go to Maebashi Institute of Technology?) If you prefer a taxi (10 minutes) you can simply say to the driver, "Koka daigaku onegaishimasu." You can also walk if you so desire (30 minutes).

For those coming from Tokyo area,
1) Take the Joetsu Shinkansen bullet train bound for Niigata or Joshin'etsu
Shinkansen bound for Nagano (1 hour ride). Change to the local line (Ryomosen)
at Takasaki station and ride another 10 minutes to Maebashi station.
2)If you care for driving, take the Kan-etsu express way and head for Niigata.
After one hour drive, branch off to the Kita-kanto express way. Then get
off the highway at Maebashi Minami exit. You will reach here after driving
another 15 minimutes toward North.
