The closest station is the Takasaki Station which is serviced by several
lines including the Joetsu and Nagano Shinkansen, that Takasaki Line, the
Hachiko Line, The Ryomo Line and one or two others. Take a taxi from the
East Exit of the station. (Buses are available if your Japanese is up to
it.)
>From Takasaki
The main street in front of the Takasaki Station East Exit will take you
very close to Nodai Niko. Go south until you cross the river. After crossing
the river the road terminates. Take the right lane. After driving only
a short distance you will soon find a 7-eleven on you left. Turn left at
the next signal and go up the hill. The big school on the right is Nodai
Niko High School.
>From Maebashi
Take the Taka-Mae Bypass (also called Route 17) from Maebashi. When you
get to Takasaki keep going straight. After a while the highway seems to
have passed through the city and you will find a large river on your right.
If the weather is clear, you will also be able to see the large white Kannon
statue on the mountain on the right. There are three bridges over the river.
It is easier to take the third one. As you drive along the by-pass, you
will notice a baseball stadium on the left and then come to an underpass.
It is at this underpass that you need to turn right so be sure you are
in the right lane. After you have turned right, you will cross the river.
